Meet Meilani Low, LMFT

Meilani is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #165086. She provides telehealth therapy via video sessions to clients throughout California.

Meilani enjoys working with individuals and couples who experience a variety of mental health challenges, including self-esteem issues, relationship problems, depression, anxiety, career issues, and life transitions.

Meilani specializes in working with the AAPI community, helping clients set boundaries and improve their internal self-talk. Her intention is to establish trust and safety first and always approach others with genuineness and compassion. Meilani utilizes a client-centered, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, eclectic, and collaborative approach to create personalized care that respects each client’s unique needs and empowers them to reach their therapeutic goals. 

Meilani respects that each client has his/her/their own unique story, culture, and lived experiences. She ensures to create a safe space for clients to feel heard, validated, and understood.

When she’s not working, Meilani enjoys baking, arts and crafts, trying new restaurants and boba shops, and spending time with her loved ones.

    • B.S. in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health from California State University, Fullerton

    • M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University

    • California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT)

    • Long Beach/South Bay CAMFT Chapter

  • Training & Experience

    • EMDR [EMDRIA Approved] training from The EMDR Center of Southern California

    • Experience treating individuals, children, families, and couples at a community counseling clinic

    • Experience in Behavioral Therapy for children with Autism and related disorders

    • 40-Hour Domestic Violence Victim Services & Advocate Training Certificate from Laura’s House

    • Safe Before Anyone Else: Consent Culture Peer Educator Training Certification
