Meet Meilani Low, AMFT

Meilani is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #135521, working under the licensed supervision of Judy Benvenuto, LMFT #88175, via Telehealth. Meilani earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Meilani enjoys working and connecting with adults, couples, and families experiencing a variety of mental health concerns and challenges including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, body image, life transitions, interpersonal relationship issues, and self-esteem.

Meilani has experience working with diverse populations and specializes in working with the Asian American community. Meilani also honors and serves the LGBTQIA+ community and highly values inclusivity and equity. Meilani ensures to establish trust first and lead with authenticity and compassion.  Meilani utilizes a client-centered, culturally sensitive, and collaborative approach with her clients and utilizes evidence-based therapy practices to help them reach their therapeutic goals and objectives.

Meilani is passionate about helping clients improve their well-being, self-esteem, and confidence to live healthier, happier, and more productive lives. Meilani’s intention is to empower clients to reach their full potential and accomplish their intended goals while processing complex trauma. 

Meilani respects that each client has his/her/their own unique story, culture, and lived experiences. Meilani ensures to create a safe space for clients to reflect, feel heard, validated, trusted, and understood.

  • Education & Professional Memberships

    • B.S. in Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health from California State University, Fullerton

    • M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University

    • California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT)

  • Training & Experience

    • Experience treating individuals, children, families, and couples at a community counseling clinic

    • Experience in Behavioral Therapy for children with Autism and related disorders

    • 40-Hour Domestic Violence Victim Services & Advocate Training Certificate from Laura’s House

    • Safe Before Anyone Else: Consent Culture Peer Educator Training Certification
